1. Day- Individual arrival in Radstadt

Individual arrival and overnight stay in Radstadt, the small historical city in the Salzburger Sportwelt region.

 

Overnight stay in Radstadt at the Hotel-Gasthof Brüggler.

 

Tip in the case of an earlier arrival:

Entry tour to the starting point of the Enns bike path (approx. 40 km round trip). From Radstadt a slight ascent leads through Flachau to Flachauwinkl, where the Enns bike path begins at the confluence of the Enns and the Pleißling rivers.

 
2. Day - Radstadt - Aigen im Ennstal (approx. 66 km )

Heading downstream from Radstadt over the state line at Mandling and past the medieval town of Schladming to Trautenfels (castle), the path continues past Irdning to Aigen on the Putterersee lake.

3. Day - Aigen im Ennstal - St. Gallen (approx. 71 km)

From Aigen through the shopping city of Liezen to Admont (world's largest abbey library!). Further along the Enns river through the picturesque "Gesäuse", where the Enns abruptly descends almost 130 meters, through Hieflau, Großreifling (forestry museum) to St. Gallen (Gallenstein castle).

Overnight stay in St. Gallen at the Naturhotel Schloss Kassegg.

 
4. Day - St. Gallen - Reichraming (approx. 49 km)

From St. Gallen to Altenmarkt (state line to upper Austria) and onward along the Enns past Weyer (beautiful market, Enns museum) to Reichraming. The wonderful alternate route (is the heart of the Enns bike trail) leads through the Reichraminger Hintergebirge in the Kalkalpen National Park. From the hotelyou drive via St. Gallento just before Altenmarkt. Then it goes to the left towards Unterlaussa 8 km slightly ascending and 3,5 km relatively steep uphill to the "Mooshöhe".

From there it's downhill through 13 tunnels all the way to Reichraming.

5. Day - Reichraming - Enns (approx. 54 km)

The cycle path leads from Reichraming (brass museum) via Losenstein (ruin), Trattenbach (floating alpine hut), Garsten (collegiate church, nail smithy) and the medieval baroque and shopping town of Steyr (landmark „Bummerlhaus“) to Enns, the oldest town in Austria with its impressive city tower and the roman museum Lauriacum.

 

Overnight stay in Enns at the Gasthof-Hotel Zum Goldenen Schiff.

 
6. Day - Return trip

When booking the bus transfer, arrival is only possible on Tuesday.

Tip

Additional day on the Danube Bike Path

From Enns to the Danube bike ferry to Mauthausen (concentration camp memorial). From there along the north-facing Danube Bike Path to the Danube power station Wallsee-Mitterkirchen bridge (bike station). Return on the south-facing Danube Bike Path via St. Pantaleon, Pyburg and Ennsdorf to Enns.

Length of the route: 52 km, altitude difference: 80 m
